Simone Soares hi man! You would need to convert your smaller coins into either Bitcoin or Litecoin, or if possible Ethereum. Once that's done you can transfer your newly converted coin to either Coinbase or Bitstamp where you can convert said newly converted coin to fiat currency. I hope that helps! Also bitcoin transaction fees have always been a lot higher than litecoin.
Plus technically coinbase can charge us whatever they want. Recently they've had a lot of demand so they've been playing with the fees to help them cope. Hopefully by investing more into better servers. Thank you, unlike most of these instructional videos that make little to no sense, I actually learned some good stuff here.
