I was just going to append the original article, but I decided to make a new post since I wanted to add a considerable amount of new information on new tests. You can easily check you memory brand using the GPU-z utility. There is always the possibility of something going wrong and the author of this article is not responsible for any changes or damage to your system or graphic cards that may result.

It now will identify the RX5xx series cards and also offers some small improvements in mining, especially when using the ASM functionality. Because Ethereum is currently more profitable to mine than Zcash on the more modern cards, such as these, I did not spend a lot of time testing this algorithm.
I only ran through the tests enough to ensure stability and to get a base metric to compare results. I do mine Zcash exclusively on my older R7 and R9 based hardware, as it comes out ahead when mining those chipsets, however for any RX series card, the Ethash algorithms reigns supreme at the moment. And also changed the volts to from Swampminer, when ever i change my core clock to and mem clock to my system crashes completely and reboots. Try a lower memclock and work your way up. I wanted to thank you for your posts about the rx Armor. I was into mining a year ago and all we did back then was tweak with MSI Afterburner. I wanted to ask you friendly if its possible that you provide me with a bios link to improve my rx Armor hashrate wich is around Thank you very much. If anything works fine i will def give you a tip! Just so people are aware, the overclocking results shown in these articles are very memory brand dependent.
The author here has Samsung memory. I bought 7 of the same cards and they all came with Hynix memory. This memory cannot be undervolted or overclocked as much as other brands. I just wanted to put this out there in case anyone with these same cards is scratching their heads trying to get the same results but failing.
I agree that if you can get cards with Samsung memory in them you will have the best luck getting higher hash rates. You may need to copy from a lower strap though in the BIOS, Samsung cards come with tighter timings from the factory so there is not a need to copy from any lower than , but other brands you may need to copy from the next lower memory strap i.
I currently have mine running at circa Power draw is still a bit high for 4 cards, which I am working on. I tried the claymore settings in this article, they dont seem to make any difference — not sure if the wattool is overiding this. I will pay to have my cards fine tuned. I have an ASUS rx dual oc 8gb samsung memory and all the timings are 0: I attempted to copy 0: No idea how that can happen, do you have thoughts on this?
It happened to me several times. The GPU clock locks at w. But can happen on other ocasions. Very strange but it works. This has been, far and away, the absolute best tutorial on getting you system flashed and running, understanding what the adjustments will do when overclocking and how to find that max ratio, and simple flashing walkthrough instructions.
I bought a computer and got it mining just days ago. I figured I needed to know what I was doing before getting a rig going. I searched and searched for info till I got here.
I have a noob question regarding flashing. As instructed, I copied and pasted 2: My memory clock maxes at MHz, getting me an ave.
Will it improve things even more? ALSO, I have read minergate gets a lower hash rate, what pool gives the best hash rate? Thank you for all the help so far! I cant figure out why I have has no problems flashing RX cards for months and now Polaris Editor will not read the timings correctly on any bios it opens.
Rather than having either the mhz or 1: Im basically stuck at this point unable to flash any card. All programs are the latest available as well. Are you using the PBE version linked in the article? There may be other working versions, but I know that particular fork had modifications to allow all memory types to be displayed.
